Zunnu: The Rains of New Babylon

Zunnu is a block-dropping puzzle video game for PC.  The core objective of the game is to keep the floor of the playfield from rising in a rain-generated flood by forming blocks out of caught drops, and then forming those blocks into larger squares that help reduce the buoyancy of the flood. This objective is challenged by the constant erosion of your blocks by the rain, and intense storms, acid rain, and gales that interfere.

Can You Keep The Flood At Bay?

Rain falls constantly from the sky, causing the playing field's floor to rise over time with flood waters. When it reaches the top of the screen, the game is over.

Your job is to keep the floor weighed down by collecting drops and forming blocks out of them. Each block adds a little more weight... but unfortunately the same rain that brings the flood erodes the blocks, so it's a constant battle.

You can fuse blocks together in larger squares, by arranging them in patterns of 2x2, 3x3, and so-on. Every size up of fused square is both more rain resistant than the smaller blocks and provides a bonus when formed that lowers the rising buoyancy of the flood waters.

When things get hectic, you can make use of a falling star that you earn through creating blocks, which shoots down and destroys blocks of the color block it hits, massively reducing buoyancy.

The Weather Is Your Enemy

The cyberpunk future of New Babylon is constantly beset by rain, but it only gets worse with weather events that roll in. Lightning-filled storms that destroy blocks, caustic acid rain, fierce gales that make drops harder to collect. Just when you think you can relax, another storm is on its way.

Challenge Modes

Multiple challenge modes add unique experiences to the game. In Sprint, you vie to get as high of a score as you can in just 3 minutes. With Time Trial, how quickly can you create 48 blocks. And in Decay, acid-filled blocks decay when their timers end, damaging the blocks around them.

Coming Soon: Roguelike Adventure Mode

In the future, expect a much more expansive experience with the Adventure Mode. Choose one of the several rogue weather reporters of the Free Babylon Weather Service, in a hell-infused cyberpunk metropolis where it's illegal for anyone other than the government to give you a forecast.

Unlock bonuses and create builds through each run as you progress through a map of New Babylon, aided by the gifts of the postsings, post-singularity entities with strange identities, against the corporate, literally demonic overlords of New Babylon. In a future with extreme weather, can you save the city?
